It added, "No further national-level BTC accumulation by El Salvador is expected in the future, other than documented donations." It was also reported that the Salvadoran government has agreed with the IMF to strengthen the legal, regulatory, and supervisory framework for digital assets and to enhance the governance and risk management framework for virtual asset holdings in the public sector. Meanwhile, El Salvador is currently engaged in an Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program worth approximately $1.4 billion with the IMF, and this agreement is expected to enable additional funding of approximately $140 million.
