Zhang Zuo'er, the founder of mining pool BTC.top and a prominent early figure (OG) in China's cryptocurrency industry, announced via X that he will cease ETH perpetual futures trading due to frequent sharp fluctuations and will shift his trading strategy to focus on BTC. He stated, "Last night, when ETH dropped to $2380, I bought 4000 ETH at the bottom and set a take-profit target of $2493. However, this morning, ETH suddenly plunged to $2367, leading me to believe there was an issue with my existing strategy. After it rebounded to $2403, I closed my position. ETH eventually rose to $2493, which was my original take-profit target. At the same time, BTC did not experience such a sudden sharp drop. In the future, I plan to trade BTC perpetual futures with zero leverage, using WBETH as collateral, and limit the position size to the maximum amount of funds I hold. While not trading, I plan to hold ETH only in spot."
