Cointelegraph reported that while it may be possible to regain access to assets in some cases even if part of a cryptocurrency wallet's seed phrase or password is lost, recovery is virtually impossible if a randomly generated seed is completely lost. Bruno Kraus, co-founder of wallet recovery service ReWallet, explained that if some words from a BIP39 seed phrase remain or if there's a clue in the password generation method, it's possible to find possible combinations and recover. On the other hand, Lucian Bourdon, a Bitcoin analyst at hardware wallet company Trezor, advised that if you lose your wallet backup and cannot access the wallet where your private keys are stored, no recovery service can help. He added that if you use a recovery service, you should check actual customer reviews and avoid companies that demand upfront payments.
