Socios.com, a sports token platform under Chiliz (CHZ), announced that it is pursuing a business to tokenize the equity of professional sports clubs with the tokenization platform Securitize. The two companies plan to issue minority stakes in professional sports teams in the form of 'Socios Equity Tokens' in cooperation with clubs, existing club owners, and institutional investors. Socios.com will be responsible for partnerships with clubs and fan-oriented services, while Securitize will handle the issuance of tokenized securities, investor registration, ownership management, and trading restrictions.
