Stock and commodity-linked perpetual futures are rapidly growing their presence in the Binance derivatives market.
According to U.Today on September 1 (local time), approximately two-thirds of the top 15 perpetual futures by 24-hour trading volume on Binance on August 19 were products linked to traditional financial assets such as stocks, ETFs, and commodities. The remainder was occupied by major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Solana (SOL).
The top-ranked in trading volume was SANDUSDT, which tracks SanDisk. Its 24-hour trading volume was approximately $6.87 billion. This accounts for about 22% of SanDisk's stock trading volume on Nasdaq during the same period. XAGUSDT, which tracks silver prices, also recorded a 24-hour trading volume of approximately $826 million.
The growth rate of stock-linked perpetual futures is even steeper. The weekly trading volume of related products has increased by about 79 times compared to early 2026. In July, Binance accounted for approximately 76% of the stock-linked perpetual futures trading volume among the exchanges surveyed. Investors can utilize buy/sell positions and leverage even after the stock market closes.
Binance has expanded its product offerings this year to include US stocks, ETFs, precious metals, and industrial metals. These perpetual futures use USDT as collateral and can be traded 24 hours a day. Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance, stated, “The multi-asset financial platform strategy, which allows trading cryptocurrencies, tokenized securities, and traditional assets from a single account, is gaining momentum.”
Its business scope is not limited to perpetual futures. Binance also provides access to over 7,000 US stocks and ETFs. However, stock-linked perpetual futures are not products that involve holding actual stocks. Prices, funding fees, liquidity, and corporate actions such as dividends and splits may also be reflected differently from traditional securities markets.
