Spacecoin, a decentralized satellite internet project, announced on the 2nd that it has unveiled the structures of 'Solar (SOLAR)' and 'Lumen', technologies responsible for data transmission and fee settlement for satellite internet, respectively.
Solar is a protocol designed to enhance the security and privacy of satellite internet and increase user control over data movement. Through this, senders can directly choose which satellites their data will travel through.
Lumen verifies the usage of communication via Solar and settles the fees. This structure ensures that charges are only made when more than two-thirds of the signature records from operators who directly processed the traffic match. It reduces the risk of false or fraudulent billing that can occur due to the structure where telecommunication companies exclusively operate the entire network.
Spacecoin has enhanced the efficiency of the settlement process by utilizing zero-knowledge proof technology, which bundles multiple billing details and compresses them into a single proof.
Final settlement is carried out on Creditcoin, and operators are rewarded with Spacecoin (SPACE) based on their contribution.
