▲ Dogecoin (DOGE)
Dogecoin (DOGE) barely rebounded from its recent low, but the downtrend has not been broken. With the price falling below all major moving averages, the breakdown of the $0.068 support level has emerged as a turning point for further decline.
According to U.Today, a cryptocurrency specialized media outlet, on August 7 (local time), Dogecoin recorded $0.069 on the daily chart, remaining slightly above its recently formed low. The price continues its trend of lower highs and lower lows. Since June, selling pressure has entered the market with every rebound attempt, preventing the formation of a sustained upward structure.
Technical trends also lean towards bearishness. Dogecoin is trading below its 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages. Long-term moving averages are also continuously pointing downwards. However, as the price moves sideways, the 20-day moving average is gradually flattening.
Overhead resistance is also significant. The 100-day moving average is located near $0.083. The 200-day moving average is at $0.099, approximately 40% higher than Dogecoin's current price. U.Today analyzed that until the gap with major resistance levels narrows, upward movements are more likely to be seen as short-term rebounds rather than new trend reversals.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is around 40, having moved out of the oversold zone but still significantly below the neutral baseline of 50. This means that bearish pressure has somewhat eased, but buying pressure is not strong enough to regain market dominance. Market participation is also low, indicating that neither bulls nor bears are actively expanding new positions.
The short-term support level is the recent low of $0.068. If this price level breaks, a new yearly low could be reached, and the downtrend could intensify. Conversely, reclaiming the 20-day moving average can be seen as the first achievement for buyers. After that, the key resistance level is the 50-day moving average near $0.074.
