According to Reuters, Firmus, a former Bitcoin mining company that transitioned into an AI infrastructure firm, has raised $2 billion in equity investment, valuing the company at over $10.5 billion (post-money valuation). Existing investors Nvidia and Coatue Management participated again in this funding round, joined by new investors Blackstone-managed funds and Jane Street. The funds will be used to accelerate the construction of Firmus's AI factories in Australia and support further expansion across Asia.
