Patrick Hansen, Circle's Head of EU Policy, stated, "Since the full implementation of the European Union's (EU) crypto-asset regulation MiCA, many major stablecoins, including Tether (USDT), have failed to meet regulatory requirements." He emphasized, "Currently, only USDG, USDC, and EURC comply with MiCA requirements, making it difficult for EU users to access other major stablecoins or receive regulatory protection. More realistic regulatory compliance measures for overseas issuers should be established during future MiCA review processes."
