Last month, domestic cryptocurrency trading volume fell to its lowest level since October 2020. According to Bizwatch, the total trading volume of the top 5 domestic exchanges (Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, Gopax) last month was tallied at $28.77 billion (41.0649 trillion won). The trading volume, which reached $85.5 billion in February, showed a continuous decrease for five months, and last month's trading volume, in particular, decreased by about 39% compared to the previous month. The shrinking investor sentiment due to the decline in cryptocurrency prices was cited as the biggest reason for the decrease in trading volume. The movement of funds to domestic stock markets and overseas exchanges was also pointed out as a cause. Meanwhile, by exchange, Upbit accounted for 63.85% of the total with a trading volume of $18.37 billion, and Bithumb accounted for 29.44% with $8.47 billion.
