While Bitcoin (BTC) attempts to break past $64,654 and Ethereum (ETH) tries to recover $1,925, XRP (Ripple) is showing signs of easing downward pressure at $1.075. All three assets are near key Exponential Moving Averages (EMA), and whether they break above or fall below these levels on a closing basis will determine their next direction.
According to investment media FXStreet on August 5 (local time), Bitcoin is trading at $64,419, approaching its 50-day Exponential Moving Average of $64,654. If it breaks above this price on a closing basis, the 100-day line at $67,080 and the 200-day line at $72,650 will open as the next resistance levels. However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 52, indicating no strong direction, and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is in negative territory, suggesting that the upward trend is still unstable. If $64,004 breaks, the correction range could expand.
Ethereum is consolidating at $1,875, trapped between its 50-day line at $1,852 and its 100-day line at $1,925. The Relative Strength Index is at 52, indicating a neutral trend, but the Moving Average Convergence Divergence remains in negative territory, suggesting overhead supply pressure persists. If it surpasses $1,925, it could test the psychological resistance of $2,000 and the 200-day line at $2,134 in sequence. Conversely, if it closes daily trading below $1,852, there is a possibility it could drop to the $1,385 support zone.
XRP is stabilizing at $1.075 but remains below its 50-day line at $1.117, 100-day line at $1.198, and 200-day line at $1.388, indicating a continued short-term bearish structure. The Relative Strength Index is at 45, lower than the neutral line of 50, limiting buying pressure, and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence also remained slightly in negative territory. However, downward pressure appears to be gradually weakening. If it recovers $1.117, then $1.198 and $1.300 will be the next targets, but $1.000 is a critical support level that must prevent further correction.
Ultimately, a short-term rebound for these three assets depends on their ability to recover key moving averages. Bitcoin must close above $64,654, Ethereum above $1,925, and XRP above $1.117 for the uptrend to gain momentum. Current momentum indicators suggest an easing of selling pressure but have not yet confirmed a clear bullish reversal.
