Blockchain security firm SlowMist announced that approximately 16.6 WETH was stolen due to a vulnerability exploited in an unverified contract. According to SlowMist, the contract lacked access control and target data validation, allowing an attacker to exploit existing ERC20 token approvals and bypass owner verification procedures.
