Betsy Graseck, Global Head of Bank and Diversified Financials Research at Morgan Stanley, said, "The shift to tokenized assets means more than just cryptocurrencies. The era of traditional 9-to-5 banking is coming to an end." According to CoinDesk, she stated during a panel discussion on digital assets, "The era of being tied to fixed working hours like a banker is over. This reflects a broader trend across financial markets. Banks, exchanges, and others are investing in technology that supports assets moving not just during business hours, but 24/7," she explained. She continued, "Investor demand is no longer limited to cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. Institutional investors are focusing on tokenization to improve cash mobility, enhance collateral efficiency, and create new investment opportunities. Companies that ignore this trend risk falling behind. If systems are not modernized to keep pace with the transition to a digital asset environment, it's like failing to lay the groundwork for growth," she emphasized.
