Stablecoin developer Brale has unveiled ION Protocol, an interoperability system designed to solve the problem of seamlessly moving a surging number of custom stablecoins between blockchains. According to CoinDesk, ION Protocol supports cross-blockchain movement by allowing participating stablecoins to burn tokens on one network and mint an equal amount of tokens on another network. Unlike most blockchain bridges, this model does not require pre-establishing liquidity pools on all supported chains.
