The Block reported that MoonPay, a global cryptocurrency payment infrastructure company, has unveiled 'Paybox,' a generative AI payment platform. Paybox can be used by connecting ChatGPT and Claude as custom connectors. It works by having AI prepare payment procedures such as flight bookings, restaurant reservations, or online shopping, and then the user provides final approval with a passkey. Users can also utilize an autonomous mode where they set transaction limits, allowing AI to complete payments without further approval. Paybox integrates cryptocurrency wallets and payment cards into a single vault based on a non-custodial structure. This allows users to utilize AI-powered payments across various services that support blockchain, DeFi services, and the x402 agent payment standard.
