New Daily Economy reported that as the Political Affairs Committee of the latter half of the 22nd National Assembly officially begins its operations, with the Financial Services Commission's work report and current issue inquiries scheduled for the 29th, there is significant uncertainty regarding the Digital Asset Basic Act. Ten related bills, each sponsored by lawmakers from the Democratic Party of Korea and the People Power Party, are currently pending in the National Assembly. While numerous parliamentary bills covering issuance, distribution, disclosure, and business operator regulations have accumulated, the Financial Services Commission's government proposal to consolidate them into a single system has not yet been disclosed. According to the media, a virtual asset industry official said, "If government principles regarding stablecoin issuers and exchange equity regulations are not presented, there is a high possibility that the same discussions will only be repeated over the 10 parliamentary bills."
