Wu Blockchain reported that Nasdaq-listed Empery Digital (EMPD), which holds Bitcoin, sold 1,400 BTC to repay debt and for other purposes. According to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing, Empery Digital sold 1,400 BTC at an average price of $62,200 since May, securing approximately $87.1 million. The funds will be used for debt repayment, previously announced real estate purchases, and legal expenses. Meanwhile, Empery Digital recently shifted its business strategy to the artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure sector. As its exposure to AI and energy infrastructure businesses expands, the company announced it would cease disclosing its net asset value (NAV) based on Bitcoin holdings.
