Global exchange Gate announced that an investigation into recent allegations of a $1.7 million hack of a Chinese user found no information leaks or abnormal access. Previously, a Chinese user (@jheioff) claimed via X that "I'm using iOS and Mac, and my Gate account was hacked, losing $1.7 million. It's a real-name account, and I had all phone authentication, Google authentication, and email authentication set up. I never changed my password, but I received related notifications, and security settings were also changed. I demand a thorough investigation and compensation from Gate." Gate stated, "There were no issues with the data provided by this user, and the video provided for security setting changes also appears to be the user themselves. In connection with this incident, we are cooperating with a third party to proceed with asset freezing and compensation procedures, and we plan to cooperate with future investigations and other procedures."
