Cryptocurrency neobank Revolut announced that its decision to cease support for Tether (USDT) trading will apply only to customers in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland, while existing services will be maintained in other regions. According to Cointelegraph, Revolut stated, “This decision reflects the results of a review of cryptocurrency services and risks in accordance with the European Union's (EU) Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. The company regularly reviewed its cryptocurrency products in response to changes in the MiCA regulatory environment and ultimately decided to end USDT support for EEA customers." Previously, Revolut had informed some European customers that USDT would be delisted from its platform by August 31 (local time).
