According to Yonhap News, Governor Shin responded to a related query from Democratic Party lawmaker Ahn Do-geol at the National Assembly's Finance and Economy Planning Committee plenary session, saying, "Stablecoins and deposit tokens will continue to maintain a competitive and complementary relationship, sustaining the monetary ecosystem." He also emphasized, "There is absolutely no change in the stance that a Korean Won-based stablecoin system should be introduced as soon as possible."
