Iran's Foreign Ministry announced in a statement on the 8th (local time) that it "strongly condemns the US Treasury Department's withdrawal of sanction waivers on Iranian oil sales." The Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that this US action constitutes a serious violation of Article 10 of the Islamabad Ceasefire Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed on June 18, and that the United States must bear the responsibility for it. It further asserted that the US's cancellation of relevant permits issued on June 21, less than 20 days after the signing of the MOU, once again reveals a lack of US goodwill, policy instability, and an untrustworthy attitude. It also pointed out that the US has violated the MOU multiple times over the past 20 days, either directly or through Israel's military actions related to Lebanon. Iran's Foreign Ministry stated, "Iran has faithfully fulfilled its obligations under the MOU so far," and added, "If the United States continues to violate the agreement, Iran will take all necessary measures to protect its national interests and security."
