Coinbase's Ethereum (ETH) Layer 2 Base mainnet is expected to introduce the B20 token standard at 3 AM KST on July 9. This upgrade was originally scheduled to be applied on the dawn of June 27 but was postponed once due to network stability issues. B20 is a new native token standard within the Base ecosystem, meaning a specification for issuing new tokens on the Base network.
