It is alleged that he lobbied the Bank of England on cryptocurrency policy after receiving an undeclared donation of £5 million ($6.7 million) from Christopher Harborne, a major Tether shareholder. While Farage and Harborne deny the allegations, stating that the funds were unconditional private donations, parliamentary authorities are investigating potential violations of lobbying regulations.
