Saudi Arabia's Al Arabiya TV reported on the 22nd (local time) that it had exclusively obtained a draft agreement between the United States and Iran that is 'close to a deal'. The draft included: △immediate, comprehensive, and unconditional ceasefire on all fronts △prohibition of attacks on military, civilian, and economic infrastructure △cessation of military operations and media warfare △respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and non-interference in internal affairs △guarantee of freedom of navigation in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman △establishment of a joint monitoring and dispute resolution mechanism. The draft also includes provisions to "commence negotiations on unresolved issues within 7 days" and "gradually lift US sanctions against Iran conditional on Iran's implementation of the agreement." Al Arabiya TV quoted sources as saying that the agreement would take effect immediately upon official announcement by both the US and Iran. However, the draft content released by Al Arabiya TV this time is almost identical to a draft previously reported by Iran's ILNA news agency, citing Al Arabiya TV as its source, a report which Al Arabiya TV had denied at the time.
