The amount of Bitcoin (BTC) held by major exchanges accounts for approximately 5.6% of the total circulating supply, reaching its lowest level since 2018, according to on-chain analytics firm Santiment. Generally, a decrease in exchange holdings suggests an increase in movements for long-term storage, interpreted as a sign of easing selling pressure. Conversely, Ethereum (ETH)'s share of exchange holdings has slightly increased from 4.2% ten days ago to 4.6% currently.
