According to Unfolded, US cryptocurrency exchange Gemini announced that it has secured a $100 million investment from Winklevoss Capital. The investment was paid entirely in Bitcoin. Gemini plans to use the funds to strengthen liquidity within its platform and transition into a full-stack market company. Gemini was founded by the Winklevoss brothers, early Bitcoin investors, and Winklevoss Capital is the Winklevoss brothers' family office and venture investment firm. Gemini also stated that its first-quarter revenue increased by 42% year-over-year to $50.3 million, but trading volume decreased by 53% to $6.3 billion.
