Michael Shaulov, CEO of Fireblocks, a virtual asset infrastructure company, dismissed the theory of quantum computers posing a threat to Bitcoin. According to Decrypt, he diagnosed that the transition to quantum-resistant cryptography is less of a technical challenge and more of an ecosystem cooperation and coordination issue, and pointed out that the real barriers hindering institutional adoption are issues such as North Korean hacking and privacy concerns. Bitcoin has already changed its signature scheme in the past, and the key is collective cooperation to update the massive network all at once.
