BDACS, a company specializing in digital asset infrastructure, announced on the 13th that it has signed a business agreement with Aptos, a global Layer 1 blockchain platform, for ecosystem expansion and infrastructure cooperation for its KRW stablecoin 'KRW1'.
Both parties plan to actively utilize Aptos' established domestic and international payment networks and partnership networks to expand practical use cases for 'KRW1', issued by BDACS.
They plan to implement an environment where stablecoins are used in the real economy, such as linking payments with large user-based mobile gift certificate services or combining blockchain wallet infrastructure.
Ryu Hong-yeol, CEO of BDACS, stated, "Aptos' overwhelming transaction processing performance and global network provide the optimal environment for realizing the digital financial infrastructure that 'KRW1', the world's first KRW stablecoin, aims for in real life. This cooperation will establish KRW1 as a general-purpose stablecoin."
Ash Pampuati, Head of Growth at the Aptos Foundation, said, "By combining BDACS' KRW1 and the Aptos blockchain, we will build a global on-chain commerce infrastructure that encompasses daily payments, corporate settlements, and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization."
