Upbit is directly entering university campuses to significantly expand its educational project targeting young people, focusing on digital assets and future finance. It is evaluated that Upbit has moved to 'strengthen its connection with youth' within the industry by providing not just investment lectures but also practical experience and career advice from current professionals.
According to Dunamu on May 8, Dunamu, which operates Upbit, will host 'UP Class,' a special lecture program on digital assets for university students and young generations. UP Class is a customized educational program designed to enhance understanding of digital assets, and this year, Dunamu executives and employees will directly participate as lecturers.
In the 'Digital Asset Special Lecture,' the core program of the event, Dunamu executives and employees will give lectures on the theme of 'Digital Assets and Future Finance Insights.' In the subsequent 'Career Talk' session, alumni employees from each university will share their professional experiences, job preparation processes, and job-specific know-how. Students are expected to show great interest as they can directly hear vivid experiences from industry practitioners.
This UP Class will kick off at Chung-Ang University on the 12th, followed by a tour of six major university campuses in Seoul, including Korea University, Yonsei University, Hanyang University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Seoul National University. Participation is free, and attendees can join on a first-come, first-served basis through pre-registration.
Dunamu plans to provide Upbit merchandise to all participants and offer various prizes through a lottery, including AirPods, Bitcoin (BTC) gift cards, Naver gift certificates, and Upbit Pizza Day sets. The program is designed to allow young people to experience the digital asset industry more familiarly, going beyond simple lectures.
Oh Kyung-seok, CEO of Dunamu, stated, 'We hope that young people, who are the protagonists of future finance, will correctly understand the digital asset industry and gain practical help in career exploration through meetings with industry professionals.' He added, 'We will continue to expand educational activities to foster a sound digital asset ecosystem.'
