Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine (BMNR) and co-founder of Fundstrat, stated that the company might slow down its Ethereum purchases as it approaches its corporate supply target of 5%. According to CoinDesk, he said, "At the current pace, we expect to reach our 5% Ethereum holding target within six weeks. We now believe it would be good to slow down the pace somewhat," adding, "After that, we will focus on staking and share buybacks." Bitmine has recently been purchasing approximately 100,000 ETH per week. Initially, the company expected it would take five years to secure 5% of the Ethereum supply, but it has already secured 4.29% in less than a year. Bitmine currently holds over 5.1 million ETH.
