Perle (PRL) has emerged as a major beneficiary of the altcoin rotation, showing a sharp rise that significantly outpaced the market average in just one day.
According to CoinMarketCap, a cryptocurrency market data aggregator, Perle traded at $0.292, up 9.02% over 24 hours as of May 5 (local time). During the same period, the total cryptocurrency market capitalization increased by only 1.78%, indicating that Perle showed a trend approximately five times stronger than the market average.
The key drivers behind the surge are altcoin rotation and a sharp increase in liquidity. CoinMarketCap's Altcoin Season Index rose 5.41% over the past week to 39, indicating a shift of funds towards small and medium-sized coins. Additionally, Perle's 24-hour trading volume surged by 2,225% to reach $526 million.
Analysts suggest that this surge cannot be attributed solely to an overall market increase. Perle's 9.02% rise while the overall market increased by 1.78% is interpreted as a result of some funds moving out of large assets like Bitcoin (BTC) and into high-volatility altcoins.
The short-term key factor is whether the trading volume can be sustained. If the altcoin rotation continues and trading volume remains above $500 million, Perle is expected to test $0.35. Conversely, if trading volume quickly cools down and falls below $200 million, the upward momentum could weaken.
On the downside, $0.25 has been identified as a critical support level. A break below this level could be interpreted as a sign of short-term momentum failure. While the current trend is bullish, it is a phase where it needs to be confirmed whether the surge in trading volume is due to sustained inflow or a short-term speculative pump.
