KelpDAO claimed that a LayerZero (ZRO) employee approved the 1:1 validator setup, which was identified as the cause of the $292 million rsETH hack. According to CoinDesk, this contradicts LayerZero's post-hack analysis results released on April 19 (local time). LayerZero initially recommended using a multi-DVN setup with multiple validators, but announced that KelpDAO's rsETH application configured LayerZero Labs as a single validator. In response, KelpDAO claimed, "During more than two and a half years and eight discussions, we never received any warning that a 1:1 single configuration could pose a significant security risk."
