US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said, "The ceasefire with Iran is not over yet." He added, "US President Donald Trump has ordered the US military to freely resume commercial navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. If Iran attacks ships, it will pay a price. Two US merchant ships have passed through the strait with US Navy destroyers, meaning passage is smooth. We expect the international community to step forward at an appropriate time and will transfer related responsibilities. Iran's attacks to date have not met the criteria for resuming large-scale operations. However, we are ready to resume operations at any time."
