Digital Asset reported that Jin Sung-joon, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea (Chairman of the National Assembly's Special Committee on Budget and Accounts), stated that virtual assets (digital assets) should be taxed next year as scheduled. Rep. Jin is a prominent figure advocating for the necessity of taxing digital assets. On the 4th, Rep. Jin Sung-joon appeared on MTN News' Yeouido Intersection and chose "tax as scheduled" in a balance game regarding 'digital asset taxation'. Previously, Rep. Jin had repeatedly asserted the need for digital asset taxation when he was the Democratic Party's Policy Committee Chairman at the end of 2024. At the time, Rep. Jin said, "It is irresponsible to postpone digital asset taxation again without any special reason," and "The deduction limit should be raised to 50 million won to tax wealthy asset holders," mentioning the necessity of taxation.
