Iranian parliament member Manouchehr Mottaki stated in an interview with Iran International TV that "a naval blockade means a declaration of war" and "our warriors could decide to remove these obstacles through military action, whether tomorrow or next week." Previously, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that he would not lift the blockade on Iranian ports until an agreement was reached, and he reportedly discussed extending the blockade with oil industry executives. On the other hand, Iran has shown no willingness to compromise, and a military advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader warned that Iran would respond if the blockade continues.
