US Senator Thom Tillis (R) announced that he is ready to push the Clarity Act bill to the committee review (Markup) stage. According to Eleanor Terrett, he told reporters that he would strongly request to schedule the markup. It is reported that the banking sector's opposition to stablecoin interest payments, which had been one of the biggest obstacles to the bill's passage, has been largely resolved. Senator Tillis indicated that consultations with stakeholders are in their final stages and announced that he would disclose specific amendments just before the review. Regarding the controversial issues of software developer liability and law enforcement, he stated his support for the proposal of Senator Cynthia Lummis, a prominent pro-crypto figure, suggesting that the bill is being refined in an industry-friendly direction.
