According to BitcoinNews.com, the crypto advocacy group StandwithCryptoEU announced that over 50,000 European Union (EU) citizens sent emails to the European Commission (EC), urging them to allow stablecoin rewards (interest and profit payments) and benefits such as cashback and fee discounts. Separately, over 126,600 people signed a petition to amend the MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets) regulation to allow users to be paid profits generated from stablecoin reserve assets. In contrast, EU central banks, including the European Central Bank (ECB), maintain that the ban on stablecoin rewards should be upheld and even indirect incentives should be restricted.
