The Washington Post (WP) reported that disappointment is growing among young male cryptocurrency investors who responded positively to U.S. President Donald Trump's pro-crypto moves in the 2024 presidential election. Cryptocurrency influencer Carl Runefelt said, "Just a few years ago, Trump was a hero in the crypto industry, but now the opposite is true. Crypto already has a strong image as a scam, and with the president even releasing his own memecoin, that perception has only solidified." The media also explained, "The sharp drop in the price of TRUMP tokens, strategic crypto reserves filled only with seized assets without new purchases, and the Trump family's crypto business have fueled disappointment. On the other hand, major crypto companies and industry figures still support Trump, and some investors view positively his appointment of pro-crypto individuals to regulatory bodies and the enactment of stablecoin regulatory laws."
