In 2023, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) indicted the operators of Fundsz, who gathered investors by luring them with promised profits from cryptocurrency and commodity algorithm investments. Now, a U.S. court has ordered the defendants to pay over $30 million in restitution. According to The Block, the court explained, "These operators disseminated false information about Fundsz's projected returns, past trading performance, and risk of loss, and falsely claimed that investment funds could be traded according to a proprietary algorithm and subsequently withdrawn with interest."
