Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has replaced its related system software with Zakura in anticipation of an upgrade that will reduce Zcash (ZEC)'s block creation interval from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. Zakura is software that tracks and verifies Zcash network and transaction records. Zakura also provides a feature that allows new computers to start up quickly using a copy of recently stored network data. This eliminates the need to download Zcash's entire transaction history from scratch.
