Cindy Leow, co-founder of Velocity (formerly Drift, DRIFT), a Solana (SOL)-based decentralized derivatives exchange, announced her resignation coinciding with the exchange's relaunch. She explained the reason for her departure via X, stating, "Velocity has now moved past its initial startup phase and requires an operational team to lead its full-scale growth." She added, "Drift was attacked by North Korea last April, preceded by six months of social engineering infiltration. Subsequently, a contract was signed with Tether to compensate users for damages, and smart contracts were rebuilt and security audits were conducted." Meanwhile, Velocity relaunched its exchange this week after completing security audits and fully open-sourcing its code.
