According to a survey commissioned by American Banker from digital asset platform Uphold, targeting U.S. banks, 75% of responding institutions are pursuing blockchain-based financial programs. Among them, 22% have already launched or are in the expansion phase of related projects, while 53% are piloting or reviewing specific use cases. 66% have allocated a budget for building digital asset infrastructure, and 54% have issued Request for Proposals (RFPs) for selecting relevant vendors and partners. Key areas of utilization include digital asset wallets and custody (72%), digital asset trading and holding services for asset management (70%), and stablecoin-based institutional settlements (64%).
