The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region announced that it has priced digital green bonds worth approximately 20 billion Hong Kong dollars under its Government Sustainable Bond Programme. The bonds are denominated in four currencies: Hong Kong Dollar, Renminbi, US Dollar, and Euro. In this issuance, in addition to the existing traditional settlement methods and the previously introduced tokenized central bank money settlement method, deposit tokens were newly introduced for the primary issuance settlement process of Hong Kong dollar-denominated bonds.
