Financial News reported that the 'Saedoyak Fund', a debt relief policy of the Lee Jae-myung administration, does not examine whether borrowers hold virtual assets. This means that even if a borrower possesses substantial virtual assets and has the ability to repay debts, they can still receive debt relief. Criticism arises that despite approximately 270 cases of hidden virtual assets being uncovered in a similar debt relief policy, the 'Saechulbal Fund', the authorities are effectively doing nothing. Instead, CAMCO states that it conducts post-management through a 'fraudulent benefit reporting system'. If a report is made to the 'Hidden Asset Reporting Center' and hidden assets such as virtual assets are discovered, the method is to recover the amount of debt relieved or even file a claim for damages. CAMCO explains that no cases of additional assets, such as virtual assets, being discovered from borrowers whose debts have already been extinguished have been confirmed to date.
