Goldman Sachs plans to offer FTIXX, a government bond fund worth approximately $100 billion, to institutional cryptocurrency firms through Lynq, an institutional cryptocurrency settlement platform. According to CoinDesk, FTIXX is the first external fund provided by Lynq and is explained to offer institutional cryptocurrency firms a new way to access traditional government bond funds. Transactions will be processed by tZERO Securities, a US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registered broker-dealer. The media explained, "Instead of creating a tokenized version of the government bond fund, Goldman Sachs chose to provide it to institutional cryptocurrency firms through Lynq."
