Mokpo City Council member Son Hye-won reported antiques and artworks worth over 1.5 billion won.

A significant number of local council members hold gold and virtual assets.

In the asset declarations of newly elected local council members and public officials in Jeonnam Gwangju from the June 3 local elections, expensive antiques, precious metals, and virtual assets drew attention.

On the 29th, an analysis of the data from 102 declarants in Jeonnam Gwangju among the asset registration details of newly elected public officials disclosed by the Government Public Ethics Committee showed that Mokpo City Council member Son Hye-won reported antiques and artworks worth 1,559 million won.

This included artist Kwon Dae-seop's moon jar (40 million won), Joseon Dynasty lacquerware, ceramics, small tables, and furniture.

Council member Son also reported jewelry worth 232.5 million won.

Among these, three Rolex watches were valued at 50 million won, 35 million won, and 35 million won respectively.

Dong-gu Council member Ahn Tae-ja of Jeonnam Gwangju reported 18K gold and pearl necklace/earrings (total 4.8 million won), and Dong-gu Council member Hong Doo-seok reported his spouse's Bvlgari necklace and Cartier watch (total 57.18 million won).

Shin-an County Mayor Kim Tae-sung reported his spouse's 24K gold 225g (45 million won), Jeonnam Gwangju City Council member Lee Soon-hwa reported 24K gold (14 million won), and Jeonnam Gwangju City Council member Moon Ae-jun reported an 18K necklace and bracelet (15 million won).

Mokpo City Council member Lee Jeong-sang reported over 8,000 units of the meme coin 'OFFICIAL TRUMP,' which President Trump announced the launch of ahead of his inauguration, as virtual assets under his spouse's name.

His spouse's virtual assets also included Loom Network, Bora, Blur, and Bitcoin, with a total appraised value of 27.48 million won.

Buk-gu Council member Lee Jeong-yoon reported US-listed stocks worth 24.17 million won, including those from Trump Media & Technology Group and Tesla.

Nam-gu Council member Go Woo-ram's virtual asset list included 7 'Tottenham Hotspur' and over 640 'Pudgy Penguins.'

Due to some delistings, the total appraised value amounted to only 16,000 won.

Jeonnam Gwangju City Council member Yang Soon-bong was found to hold virtual assets totaling 179.51 million won, including 1 Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and Litecoin.

Jeonnam Gwangju City Council member Lee Oh-sook reported virtual assets worth 18.94 million won including Bitcoin and Ethereum, Jeonnam Gwangju City Council member Park Min-young reported 8.32 million won, and City Council member Park Eun-jung reported 7.77 million won.

Jeonnam Gwangju City Council member Kang Won-ho reported equity shares in three corporations worth 685 million won, and Jeonnam Gwangju City Council member Jeong Ki-seong reported equity shares in corporations under his own and his spouse's names worth 210 million won.

Jeonnam Gwangju City Council member Yang Soon-bong held a condominium membership (18 million won).

Former Gwangju Mayor Kang Ki-jung, who retired, newly reported 15 million won in cash, adding an explanation in the remarks section regarding income from a book launch event and book sales proceeds.
