CoinDesk reported that the Circle Foundation, issuer of the dollar-pegged stablecoin USDC, has signed a partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). Through this partnership, the Circle Foundation will pilot stablecoin payments for humanitarian aid delivery. It plans to test USDC-based aid disbursement methods in conflict zones and areas with limited communication access.
