BNB Chain-based Meter Passport, Hacking Detected... Large-scale Issuance of Uncollateralized Wrapped Tokens

Blockchain security firm Blockaid reported that the BNB Chain-based Meter Passport is under attack. Hackers are issuing a large number of uncollateralized wrapped tokens (wMTRG) through cross-chain channels and have sold some of them via PancakeSwap. So far, the hackers have issued approximately $2.3 million worth of wMTRG through two transactions, and the attack is currently ongoing.
