Protos reported that blockchain security firm SlowMist discovered malware designed to steal cryptocurrency in some versions of the iOS app for cryptocurrency trading platform FOMO, which is registered on the Apple App Store. The problematic versions were distributed from September 9th to 17th, and it was analyzed that seed phrases and private keys could be leaked through the malware. SlowMist warned that simply deleting or updating the app might not be enough, and users who used the app during that period should consider the possibility that sensitive information, such as related private keys, may have been leaked.
