Bitcoin Core 32.0 is currently undergoing testing in the release-candidate phase, with developers targeting an October 10th launch, Bitcoin News reported. This version has been improved to speed up block validation by reading the database in parallel. However, it does not affect the block creation speed itself. Additionally, the default values for four wallet commands will change to the new Partially Signed Bitcoin Transaction (PSBT) format. The existing format will still be available if requested by the user. In terms of security, a vulnerability that allowed maliciously crafted wallet names to execute commands on non-Windows nodes has been fixed. The issue of increased memory usage due to unauthenticated HTTP requests has also been improved, decreasing from approximately 3.2 billion MB to 3 million MB in one test.
